St. Barths island – the jewel of the Caribbean

St. Barths island, or as it’s also called, St. Barthelemy island is considered to be the jewel of the Caribbean. The nature here is just amazing: cacti of various shapes, tall palms, mangrove coppices.

St. Barths island was discovered by Columbus in 1493, he gave it this name after his younger brother Bartolomeo. Despite the small area (25 sq. m.), it will give you an unforgettable experience.

The island consists of 60 exquisite restaurants, 20 sandy beaches and 30 five star hotel-villas.

And the air! How wonderful is the air here! You get a lungful of air and want to breathe again and again. The temperature on St. Barths is about 25-26 C. July and August – are the hottest months of the year. Autumn – is the rainy season, with the rain falling for about 7-8 days in a row. Warm weather, marine air – what else can be so gentle!

Holiday fun includes yachting, horse riding, scuba diving, surfing, fishing, snorkeling (diving with a mask and a snorkel). Various types of corals, reefs and small schools of fish will bring a lot of new experiences and sensations into your life.

Tourists on St. Barths island can be seen all the year round. The high season is from December up to April. The island is very popular with celebrities.

You can get to the island both by air (just 15 minutes) and by water transport (approximately 45 minutes). The public transport includes 4 mini-buses for eight passengers each, tickets for which can be bought in hotels.

The most interesting fact is that there is no crime and no poor people on the island. You can rarely find safes in hotel rooms. The hosts don’t close doors for the night to enjoy the sound of waves.

The island has Mont-du-Vite viewing point, a church with a bell tower, Colombier village, Cul-de-Sac lagoon, Ingenue-Magras Museum in Corossol, Chez-Pompey Art Gallery, Montbard grotto, La Manor estate, Mourne-du-Vite mount. This is not the full list of the places you should visit.

The signature of St. Barthelemy island is considered to be Colombier or Rockefeller beach (the Rockefeller family liked to spend time here). To get to the beach you need to rent a car or a boat. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the beach and you will be rewarded with a quiet and cozy place.

You can pass the time in expensive boutiques and shops. There are about 200 of them here and this number is constantly growing. Such variety of goods just makes you dizzy. Here you can buy
