A ten-minute desk reset that does not require matching containers
Desk-reset videos can make organization look like a shopping category. A useful reset starts with the work you need to do next, not with a coordinated collection of trays and labels.

Clear one working area
Move cups, rubbish and items that belong elsewhere. Put uncertain objects in one temporary box rather than opening several new sorting projects. Wipe the surface using a method suitable for the material and equipment.
Keep active tools nearby
Return only the items used for your current task. Store occasional supplies within reach but outside the main working space. If cables create a problem, identify which devices actually need to remain connected before buying organizers.
Leave a clear restart note
Write the next action on a small card or in your task list. A tidy desk is less helpful if you still cannot remember what you were doing. After a week, check which objects repeatedly return to the surface. That pattern tells you more about the storage you need than an attractive setup photographed before anyone has worked at it.
