Borrow before upgrading
Ask whether a class, library or friend can provide appropriate equipment for a first attempt. Learn which supplies affect the result and which mainly add convenience. A beginner rarely needs every option at once.
Record the enjoyable part
After the session, note what held your attention and what felt frustrating. Decide on the next project before deciding on the next purchase. If the interest fades, you have learned something at low cost. If it grows, you can buy for a specific need. The hobby begins when you make something, not when the delivery arrives.
