Put essentials in plain text
Include the date, start and expected finish time, location, RSVP method and any cost. Add the time zone for an online gathering. Text remains searchable and accessible when a decorative image is difficult to read.
Explain the flexible parts
Say whether guests may arrive late, bring someone or contribute food. Ask privately about access or dietary needs rather than making people explain them in a public thread. Avoid promising accommodations you have not confirmed.
Send one final update
Before the event, share directions and any change in plans in the same conversation. If a door code or private address is involved, limit the audience appropriately.
